Since opening The Cookery in 2015, Chef Kevin Lane and his wife Stacey have been showcasing Alaska's bounty: fresh oysters delivered daily, locally farmed meats, produce sourced from the Kenai Peninsula, foraged finds, and fresh fish paired with wines from all over the world, and locals' favorite beers on tap.

The Cookery will be open from 5-10pm Tuesday's through Sunday's and closed on Monday's during the summer season.  Construction is almost finished  and  w
e anticipate a June 1st opening.  We will update Facebook and Instagram as we make progress.

Our reservation system is up and running and our dining room will open on June 1, 2023. Our bar remains reservation free and is served on a first come, first served basis. You must be 21 to sit at the bar. While we have expanded the Cookery building, it now encompasses a large professional kitchen (much to Chef's delight!) and just a little more dining space. We've gained about 4 tables that can occupy 4 people each and have one large table
that can hold 6 people. So there's not a lot of space for large groups.  Please keep this in mind when making reservations. :) We can't wait to welcome you to our new space!

In 2019, the pair opened The Lone Chicharron Taqueria just across the alley and street, bringing the flavors of Mexico to Seward's first taqueria. Check it out at 215 4th Avenue, Suite B.
